Kids Just Me Couples Family

Family

Becoming an organized family is not an impossible task. We look at what's working and what isn't, breaking your needs into manageable jobs that can be done on your schedule. Take a look at some of the services we offer below. Together, well find the best way to put Ubeu to work in your family.

Kid herding – the right kid at the right where at the right when

2 to 3 hours

Time management for busy parents begins with establishing priorities. No child can learn everything – the world is too vast to enjoy every experience available to us. What experiences are truly meaningful to you? To your kids? Once we develop these priorities for you and each of your children, we can begin to establish processes that free up enough time to get them all done.

Kid herding is a special program that examines the time needs and constraints of every member of the family, and places them all in the context of family living. We plan for everyone's individual activities, while ensuring that we make time for the family to be together.

Keep Out! Finding balance between your space, their space and your sanity

6 to 40 hours

Every kid needs her space, but that space is part of a larger home. By working with you and your child to establish boundaries and priorities, we can create a space that is uniquely hers, but not so far removed from the rest of the house that we have to rope it off with crime scene tape.

First, we reconsider your family areas, reconfiguring them to meet everyone's needs. As family members work together to redefine these rooms, they generate the respect that community space deserves. We can work with you to organize one space or every space – we begin the process with a needs assessment that allows us to focus time and attention on the areas that will deliver the greatest results.

Then, we consider your space. Do you need a someplace to retreat to? Has your room become an extension of the family living space? We often loose ourselves in our children's lives; developing your own space is a vital part of maintaining your sanity and your happiness.

Finally, we take care of your child's space, making sure that her needs are met within the parameters set by the entire family.

As we take control of these spaces, we create natural patterns that mirror the people who live within them. Everyone becomes invested in the development and preservation of their areas. Maintaining the space that you want can become second nature.

All hands on deck: chores for every member of the family

2 to 3 hours

Who lives in our house? Who takes care of our home? If the answers to these two questions are different, you may feel overwhelmed. Too often, chores become a central figure in an ongoing argument, but they don't need to be.

We all have to do chores, but how often do we take abilities and interests into account when deciding who does what and when? Together, we will define a list of priorities, and work as a group to decide who is best suited to each job. We will develop a realistic team approach as we tackle family responsibilities.

Where? What? Whose? Decluttering for families

3 to 40 hours

Where did we get all this stuff? One of the biggest problems we face today is the constant accumulation of items – many of which we use once and store forever. The best way to tackle this problem is to determine who wants what; a set of priorities that we use to determine what we should have and what we don't ever need to buy. What do you love? What do you need? What do you use? We take you – your needs, your wants and your personality – into consideration in every step.

As we develop a real "wish list" we realize that much of what we asked for in the past was the result of temporary infatuation. We then plow through the piles of stuff, with honest priorities as our guide. Once we have freed your family from the clutter, we'll teach you strategies that will keep your from re-accumulating more unwanted junk in the future.

On the Road Again – Moving your Family

3 to 20 hours

Whether it's across town or across the country, moving can be a tedious chore, but it's also a great opportunity. Moving is the perfect time to declutter and reprioritize your life. We'll work together to determine what moves with you, and what gets left behind. As we decide what's really important, we'll plan for your new home, and make the unpacking process as simple as possible. Our strategies will get you out of the boxes and into your new life in record time.
